Helpful staff (they showed us where to park our car), large room, breakfast was okay.
The hotel is directly at the harbor (we were staying there waiting for our ferry next day). So it's relatively loud, even in the night. Also, the price (150 Euro per night for a double room) is not justified at all. It was by far our most expensive stay in Greece.
The hotel is in a very central location near Patras city center. The rooms are good and confortable and they are a good value for money.
Large rooms with plenty of space, clean bathroom and very quiet.Ideal location for business trips, in the center of the town.
It is unacceptable to have to pay for the parking being a hotel client. The decoration is very 60'S.
Hotel staff professional and very kind
Hotel is very old and used is require general renovation especcially the rooms/bathrooms/alleways/etc
i liked best the balcony in our rooms . The room was quite big and also the entrance of the hotel is very nice .
Our room was not very clean we found hair in the sheets in the bed and in the bathroom. Also there was used toilet paper in the bin it was obviously that someone else did stay here and it was not clean enough.
location. opposite Port and Bus Terminal.hotel quiet nearly empty.big room
roof garden viewpoint closed and in disrepair
The room was quite big, the breakfast was nery nice and its location was near to centre of Patra. We did not need to take the car to go out.
Had the lowest price and available rooms in the last minute, and it was close to everywhere in town
Not really, although it seems a bit like it came out from the 70s
The lady on the reception desk, the waiter at the roof terrace restaurant and the two girls at the poolside bar were all very pleasant. The receptionist remembered me from my previous stay. I had a very nice meal in the poolside restaurant.
My booking could not be found when I arrived even though I had emailed and had had discussions with the reception staff about having the room for an extra couple of hours. Resolved after I showed the emails. The safe in the room was not attached to the wall of the cupboard - the 2 bolts were on the floor inside of the safe, so it was not possible to put valuables in there. I chose this hotel so that I could use the pool whilst waiting to catch the ferry the next day. There were a group of young people (maybe locals?) around the pool. When a sun lounger became free I sat down then a group of young men started dive bombing (there is a notice 'No diving'). They refused to stop and I had to leave as my book and towel were really wet.
The lady on the reception desk was very pleasant.
I have stayed at this hotel before but was appalled at the difference this year. The room stank of cigarette smoke. Because it had been raining the roof terrace restaurant was not open. I went into the ordinary restaurant at the hotel and the waiter was decidedly unpleasant. I asked if it would be possible to have a gin tonic. He said he would have to go up to the roof garden to get it and it did not arrive for 20 minutes. I would have been happy with wine but it was not offered. My order was taken but it did not arrive for a very long time as the waiter took the orders and served the other 4 people (2 tables) that arrived after me!
The global location in Patra, French speaking staff.
almost no parking, breakfast was poor, room was noisy and old. Better to go to Patras Palace next door, far better and just a little more expensive.
Astir, apart from being a good hotel, is within walking distance from the Bus-Depot which is a great advantage if you want to travel around .
It is not a matter of not liking it but rather a matter of good sense. The small room refrigerator is enclosed in an almost airtight closet as a result of which, the heat generated can not be dissipated and diminishes the efficiency for cooling. The closet door should at least be with louvres for proper aeration so as to avoid overheating and the high risk of fire.
The roof-top restaurant is excellent
The showers are not 4 star quality
The helpful staff, clean room, large balcony
meager breakfast, wifi in the room did not work
we spend much time on the lovely pool terrace where food was excellent and the view to the castle at night was another highlight.
With 4 hotel staff members lingering around your breakfast table we felt a little bit watched in the mornings though.
